As a seasoned gardener, I should know better than not using pot feet on my container. I have a large number of pots all around the garden, patio and deck and I do use pot feet but, I missed this one pot. It is a good learning for me to see what can actually happen in this case and share my experience. By not using pot feet on the container, not only that ugly stains are hard to remove but it also prevents air circulation between container and patio or deck. During heavy rain, the pot ends up water logged.
Aloe ‘plicatilis’ planted in this ceramic pot rotted after the couple of years that it sat with no pot feet. I began to notice the sudden change in the overall health of the plant. As I investigate the trunk and root system, it is soo rotted.
Till next time. I hope to share more of my discoveries and experiences with you soon. Please subscribe to my blog if you find my information helpful
