The Encinitas Garden Festival & Tour is a celebration of gardening and horticultural heritage of Encinitas California. This is an all-volunteer event founded in 2003, as an initiative of the City of Encinitas Cultural Tourism Committee. There were many garden related vendors, mini seminars all day, food and 24 gardens scheduled for tour plus an open tour of a School Community Garden. Yes, we did tour all of the 24 gardens. They were all located within 6 blocks, and it was a pleasant walk. I am only able to share you a handful of photos on this blog but, you can learn more about each and every one of the gardens at http://encinitasgardenfestival.org/gardens/
The first five photos are from an Artist’s garden. Many of her work are incorporated into the garden which I like the most.
This fountain is one that can be easily made. I like the simplicity of it.
This is a beautiful setting with this tree (name unknown).
Anigozanthos (Kangaroo paws) planted at the front row. Was it intentional?
or was it suppose to be this shorter variety that should have been planted on the front row?
Hope you enjoyed the mini tour of Encinitas gardens. Till next time…..
